Burping your baby is an essential step in feeding which should be done every time you feed your baby. Here is a three-step guide to help you burp them in a comfortable and effective way.

Stop Feeding Halfway Through the Session

When feeding your baby, you’ll want to stop halfway in order to burp them. Halfway is ideal because it removes any air bubbles they’ve absorbed before they become an issue.

For example, if the feeding session lasts around 15 minutes, try stopping between seven and eight minutes in. Some babies respond better to being burped earlier rather than being burped after finishing.

Observe your child and adjust the time you stop feeding and start burping depending on when they feel uncomfortable. You might have to burp them more than once per feeding session.

Position the Baby
